British Concrete Transport Association: Here to Help

Understanding the issues that affect the industry, especially around concrete delivery, concrete transport and the daily challenges that drivers and operators continue to face, bringing together a group of industry experts willing to influence change for the right reasons and address those problems that need an adequate solution.

Through this combined expertise, established strategic partnerships will improve the critical issues surrounding transport, skills, health and safety, and the environment.

Our Values at the British Concrete Transport Association

At British Concrete Transport Association, we are guided by a set of core values that drive our actions and decisions. These values include integrity, collaboration, innovation, and excellence. We believe in upholding these values in all our interactions with members, partners, and stakeholders.

Safety in Every Turn Initiative

The BCTA is proud to support and work and partner with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Enforcement Policy Team, delivering industry talks on mixer maintenance at Sterling Mixers and McPhee Mixers.

We also deliver mixer rollover awareness days for Police Commercial Vehicle Units (CVU), Roads Policing, and Collision Investigators, raising awareness among first responders of mixer rollover causes, prevention strategies, environmental considerations, and first-responder safety.

Check out the videos below from our Safety in Every Turn CPD days.

Feedback

"Excellent awareness training, providing a clear understanding into the world of concrete mixers, including practical demonstrations and advice from a policing enforcement perspective.

This training is, in my opinion, vital from a commercial vehicle enforcement sense, especially given the level of risk some operators pose on our roads, and the frequency of these risks.

All the trainers are extremely knowledgeable and able to provide an easy-to-understand and relaxed method of training, and we came away feeling we had learned a lot.

Thank you very much!"
